Yesterday we spent a quiet Saturday – just breakfast with friends at a favorite café, then some house projects (setting up the bicycle trainer, looking over some legal documents, placing a few pieces into our current jigsaw puzzle, fixing the hinges on a folding door). The weather outside was worse than frosty, so we couldn’t have been happier to have a warm home in which to work and laugh all day. Dinner was light leftovers, while I read aloud from an old short story of mine.
