Next, Cia and Avis presented a wonderful puppet show, featuring all kinds of magic (or attempts at magic). And then, after a tasty lunch prepared by Cia and served out on the patio under the swaying umbrella (which Avis wanted to raise up and down, but it was just too heavy), we drove to a goat farm deep in the hills of central Connecticut. Avis loved seeing and petting the goats, though she was sometimes frightened by their over-active friendliness. Here are some photos:
A truly lovely day for we lucky three!
Then, yesterday we took the train to Boston to see the Boston Ballet with Aaron, and it was another very special day.
The three ballets were superior, especially (for me) the one featuring a solo cellist playing Bach suites while the dancers moved with elegance to the music. After the show, Cia and Aaron strolled alone for awhile, a fitting few minutes by themselves, mom and son on Mother's Day.
