Today we drove down to New Haven to see the world premiere of a play called "Elevada", and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. We arrived in the city early enough to visit the Yale Art Museum and check out some fascinating etchings by Whistler, and also browse through the excellent 19th century American section. Next, we enjoyed a light and tasty lunch at a Japanese tea shop, sitting at a tiny table with a pot of herbal tea, glass teacups, and delicious dumplings and noodles. The play, we thought, was wonderful, one of the best we've seen this year -- a sometimes hilarious and sometimes sad look at love in the digital age.

It was another day of quiet and happy friendship for a lucky couple.
