Today we landed at Heathrow airport in London at around 9:00 am London time, which is 4:00 am Mystic, CT time. It was a long, tiresome night for both of us, though the flight was fairly smooth and we loved the whole idea of soaring across the sea again to visit one of our favorite lands.  After getting our bags and riding the tube to our hotel, we walked around the area close to the hotel -- Russell Square and surroundings. It's truly a special section of London, containing within a short walk sites like St. Paul's Cathedral, the British Museum, the British Library, Covent Garden, and the famous London Eye. 
Considering that we had just a few hours of sleep last night, we two sprightly 70-year-olds were quite frisky today in our first few hours in this magical city.
