We've been having some great walks on these cool and colorful fall days. There are some challenging hills in Mystic, plus beautiful bright trees everywhere, and of course the sparkling Mystic River, so we have been in paradise for our exercise. I don't walk as fast as Delycia, so today we parked the car and she started off at her brisk pace in one direction, and I started ambling and strolling in the other. We both got the exercise we needed, and we met, by chance, toward the end, and walked back to the car together.

Today we carved our pumpkins for Halloween -- and I think they're pretty awesome. Tomorrow I'll post some photos of how they look as they glow in the darkness.

Tonight we're excited to be attending the year's opening performance by the local Salt Marsh Opera, where they'll be presenting Puccini's Madame Butterfly. Can't wait!
