Today Cia and I had a quiet breakfast together in the hotel cafe, and then moved to another table to join Al and Mary Anne and others as they came in for their breakfasts. It was a quiet, easy way for friends who haven't seen each other in a while to share the news.

Later, Al and Mike and I took a walk along King Street to an excellent bookstore, where we browsed the shelves and talked while we browsed. The books were fun to check out, but the conversation we brothers had was way more fun! We then went across the street to a quaint coffee shop (one that Mike said would strongly appeal to Neil, who is very particular about his coffee shops) where we enjoyed a morning snack and more conversation. I thought to myself, as we sat and talked, that this is what I was hoping would happen on this wedding trip -- brothers (and sisters) coming together to lovingly reconnect. I shed, inside, some tears of thankfulness.
