Today we walked together under a warm blue sky down Route 27. I had not been planning on exercising today, but when Cia said she was going, it seemed too much fun to pass up. We talked as we walked, as usual, but we also spent time just enjoying our thoughts and the mid-winter look of the trees and the marsh and the Mystic River. I turned back at the Mystic Seaport, but Delycia strode on in her energetic way, all the way to downtown, and then back. She met me back at the car, where I was resting and enjoying a good book.

Tonight we enjoyed an evening with Carol Roper in our home. I am the "cook" this week, so I picked up some tasty soup and salad from Mystic Market, and we had a happy evening chatting and laughing. As usual, I think it reminded both Cia and me that we should do this kind of simple entertaining more often. Let's hope we do!
