A lovely snowstorm swept into our area yesterday, and its intensity was surprising even to the forecasters. It started early yesterday morning, just light flakes floating almost straight down in windless weather, but the snow spread and became heavier as the hours passed. Also, the wind picked up and was whipping snow in streaks across the street and yards by mid-afternoon. We enjoyed watching the snow, warm and snug in our cozy house with a comforting fire in the fireplace.
