Cia and I have had many lovely bike rides this summer. Just yesterday, around 5:00, we came home from a trip down to the Florence Griswold Museum and quickly loaded our bikes on the car, drove over to Old Mystic, parked and unloaded the bikes and set off for a fun-loving ride down to Wolfneck and around to Shewville and back to Old Mystic, about 8 easy but still draining miles.  We've done many rides along lovely River Road, and a few days ago we parked the car at The Road Church and then rode about 8 miles along Wheeler Road, past the rolling green hills of a golf course and up and down a few friendly hills and then down the wide shoulder of 184 to Al Harvey Road and its farms with cows and sheep in the sunshine.

This morning, all by my lonesome (Cia is in NYC for the day with a friend), I took a fairly fast ride down River Road and back under spreading misty skies -- good skies for a guy full of lonesomeness for his dearest one.
