On Saturday, we took a brisk walk at Barn Island, enjoying, as usual, the spectacular sights of the shore and the distant sea. I wore the binoculars, and it was fun to sometimes stop and stare through them at the graceful snowy egrets living their smooth and seemingly effortless lives.

Later, I spent some time taking lawn furniture outside and setting up our yard, once again, for spring and summer pastimes. It looks more beautiful each day, with Delycia's flowers unfolding and rising by inches each day, birds sweeping across the green lawn, and now the chairs and lounges and tables out in the shade for future warm weather fun.
At night, we attended a splendid concert by the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, featuring Beethoven's 1st symphony and "Carmina Burana", a wildly entertaining piece by Carl Orff. We loved all of it!
