Delycia was out in her garden by 9:00 am today, dragging the garden cart back and forth with mulch for her flowers. She worked all morning in the sunshine, and I thought perhaps she would not want to do our planned bike ride after lunch. But no . . . she was actually eager to get on the bikes, so we did a short ride out into the countryside, past fields and forests and pastures and barns. It's a ride we do often, so the sights were familiar as we cruised along.

Later, back home, Delycia went right back to work with her flowers, and was out in the sun for the next few hours, digging and tossing out weeds and generally caring for her beloved gardens.
