Today, a beautiful, sun-filled one, we hiked for a few hours down at Devil's Hopyard State Park (in E. Haddam, CT), and I'm so glad Delycia brought me there. She had hiked the same trail a few weeks  ago with a good friend, so she suggested we go today, and I was the lucky recipient of her gift. I don't recall a prettier park or a more scenic trail -- up and down among enormous, solemn trees and the sounds of singing birds. At one point we came to a cliff overlooking green hills stretching away in the distance, where we rested and appreciated the impressive scene.
