As usual, we have had a happy few days since my last post. We've started each day with early morning walks, either along the shoreline hills of Noank or along the coastal trails at Barn Island. This morning, for a change, we rode our bikes about 7 miles along farmland roads near our house. Breakfast always feels extra special after inspiring workouts.

On Wednesday, I was a lonely husband, since Delycia spent the day with her friend Evelyn, hiking around Ashland Reservoir in Ashland, MA. (See photo below.) She came home tired but happy, and I was VERY happy to see her.

Yesterday, she was, once again, the "mad gardener", out in the hot sun for whole hours, weeding, watering, and loving her flowers.
It's always a spectacle for me to see -- a person thoroughly dedicated to the beauty and prosperity of a garden.

I've been working on my writing, sending out queries and organizing my writing files (with Cia's excellent help). Yesterday I sent out a query for "New Kinds of Light" (a collection of meditations), and received a form-letter rejection within minutes! Oh well . . .
