We had a busy and happy weekend. We began Saturday with a fast walk along River Road, with beautiful views of the Mystic River. Later in the day, we washed windows and screens, and reorganized and simplified my writing binders, while Sunday was good hours of garden work by Delycia and a similar number of hours of reading and writing for me. We brought the weekend to an inspiring close last night by attending a wonderful performance that was part of the annual Connecticut Early Music Festival. The group of musicians, called Ensemble Caprice, specialize in the music brought from Spain to the New World in the 16th century, and it was delightful to hear the salsa rhythms played on authentic old-world instruments.
