Yesterday morning, I joined some friends at a "men's club" gathering.  The group meets every three weeks on Friday, 7:30 to 9:00 am, for coffee, pastries, and a presentation of some sort. Yesterday, we heard a talk by a guy who has been at Electric Boat 40+ years helping to build nuclear submarines. I must confess that I grew weary hearing so much talk about weapons of mass destruction, but it was good to be with my friends.

While I was at the meeting, Delycia took a walk on Napatree Beach, where she took some excellent pictures (below).

Today we took Ava for an outing to the UConn puppet theater, where we saw a wonderful show put on by some graduate students in the Fine Arts department. Ava loved all of the show, and we bought a cuddly rabbit puppet for her after the show. (Before the show, we had a delicious lunch at a hamburger joint near the theater. My burger, loaded with good veggies, was one of the best I can remember.)
