Yesterday we attended a wonderful birthday party for young Joshy (9 now) at Jamie and Amy's. We sat outside in the shade on a perfect spring day, and then went in for a wonderful lunch (grilled chicken, several delicious salads, and a creamy and tasty birthday cake) at the big table in the "great room".  Josh opened gift after gift, not real comfortable being the center of attention but smiling and eagerly hugging each of the givers. Later, some of us -- me included -- went for a chilly swim in their new above-ground swimming pool. An outstanding day with an outstanding family!

Best buddies
On Friday evening, Aaron came down to spend the night, and while with us, he graciously hopped up on the roof and cleaned all the gutters, and, yesterday morning, re-wired our dishwasher (below).
This is one great guy!

Today we drove down to the Flo Gris museum, where we both created some happy art work (see below) and studied some wonderful paintings in the new exhibit of sea paintings. Later, we attended a charming concert at Conn College as part of the CT Early Music Festival. Loved it!
