Beach day today, in Watch Hill with blue skies and puffed-up clouds and the clearest looking sea I've seen all summer, and -- best of all -- three of our grandchildren, Noah, Ava, and Avis. I dipped and splashed in the surf a bit, but mostly sat with Cia and the kids and watched them working on a sand castle kingdom. It was wonderful to see Amy and Jamie and their very happy children, blended into a sparkling new family.
