Later, we drove down to the little town of Lee, where I read in the park while Cia walked and toured a few of the shops. After lunch, we took a good float in the lake, just doing arm and leg exercises for about 25 minutes.
Later in the afternoon, we saw a terrific production of Henry V at Shakespeare and Company, here in Lenox. The acting was brilliant, and they did some sweet tricks, like using dance movements with solo violin to show the fierceness of the battle, and using all 8 actors as the chorus. As I thought about it later, I was especially impressed with the actor playing King Henry. He brought both lightness and seriousness to the role, both the "good times guy" Henry and the brave warrior Henry. After the play, we spoke briefly with a few of the performers, who had come into the lobby and were wandering around amiably chatting with audience members. It was a lighthearted, cordial touch to a wonderful production.
