Yesterday, we took an early morning kayak trip, and then had a lazy, stay-by-the-lake day, just dipping in the lake, reading, talking, and enjoying all sorts of delicious food prepared by Cia. In the afternoon, we gave ourselves a special treat of luscious ice cream cones from a local shop. As we enjoyed the cones, we watched some folks playing chess on a giant outdoor board.

Today, we walked before breakfast up and down some hills on the road to Tanglewood, paddled our kayaks to some parts of Laurel Lake we hadn't yet explored, and went to a talk about Shakespeare's Henry V at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox. Again, it felt like a lazy, carefree day -- a long string of hours for simply taking pleasure in what comes along.
