Today, at Yale Rep, we saw a wonderful world premier performance
of a strange and powerful play. It's actually a "play about a play", being a look back at a play by the
Jewish write Sholem Asch, written in the early 1900s -- a play that caused scandals and arrests and prosecutions because of its supposed "obscenity".  The play we saw today, called "Indecent", is a touching look at what obviously was a powerful play by Asch, dealing with the passionate love between two Jewish women.  We both agreed that it was a forceful performance of a strong and thoughtful play.
