Today I took a break from walking and enjoyed some hours of reading, writing, and just simple thinking at our beautiful guest house in Selworthy, Somerset, UK. (I caught up on my reading of "Lorna Doone", a wonderful Victorian novel set exactly in the area around where we are staying.) Cia lounged with me in the morning, but she took a 2-hour walk in the afternoon, back up to the beautiful Selworthy green, and then down to the village of Allerford to see, again, the old packhorse bridge over a stream. We texted back and forth, just to stay in touch -- me reading by the window, her doing her happiest walking in the English woodlands.
