Today we took a guided walk across the woodlands from our hotel to the town of Porlock, on the Bristol Channel, and then up to the tiny village of Selworthy.  The walk was slow and fairly easy, with just 700 feet of very gradual ascent. There were only six of us on the walk, so it was a laid-back, pretty quiet few hours, making it easy to enjoy the misty countryside. My favorite stop was the Selworthy village green, where Cia and I sat on a bench for a few minutes to enjoy the views of shrubs and trees and the spreading valley in the 
distance
