Today, Cia took a short but happy walk with her good friend Lee. She left with a full and heavy pack, loaded with all the things she might need on a hike -- and she left, too, with a lot of smiles and excitement, which is just the way she returned. A great morning for my honey. 

And then ... lucky grandparents! In the afternoon, we traveled up to Brooklyn, CT, picked up Noah and Ava at school, and had a wonderful few hours at their cozy home in the woods, including a delicious dinner prepared by Cia. I was fortunate to sit with Noah as he worked hard on his homework, and I think I was of some help to him on an essay he was working on. I admit to being biased, but I think these two kids are some of the best ever! It's a pleasure to be with them and to share in their kindness and good cheer.
