Today we attended, as we have for the past few months, the Quaker meeting for worship at the Westerly Meeting House, and it was another peaceful and inspiring 60 minutes for me. I find I'm looking forward more and more to Sunday morning and the quiet rejuvenation it seems to bring me. This morning I thought especially about how wonderful-- and rare-- it is to spend an hour with a group of people in meditative silence. I seemed to feel the spiritual energy of all the people in the meeting house moving through me minute by minute. Few words were spoken, but much wisdom was shared in the midst of the silence.

After worship, we took a fast walk in Wilcox Park, up and down the pathways and the steps, and then drove home for a quiet springlike Sunday afternoon. How grateful I am!
