Yesterday, we took the train to Boston for our visit with Aaron for lunch and the Boston Ballet. It was great to see Aaron again and to enjoy a tasty lunch at the busy-busy Chinese restaurant that we love. The place was packed more than ever, but we managed to squeeze into a table fairly quickly, and once again enjoyed some special oriental treats. I must say I also enjoyed the bustling atmosphere of the place -- the wait-staff rushing here and there, the various patrons pushed together in a very small space but happy as can be with their friends, family, and fine food.
The ballet, I thought, was one of the best we have seen. It was Le Corsairs, and it was dashing, dynamic, colorful, and full of astonishing dancing feats. I doubt I have ever seen that much old-fashioned and very beautiful ballet dancing in one performance. I was so happy to be enjoying such a spectacular performance with two such special friends.
