Today we were surprised by a small, softly falling snow storm -- just about 3 inches, but enough to bring some wintry beauty to our neighborhood. The snow fell fairly consistently from about noon till 7:00 pm, and it fell in a windless, gentle way, perfect for sitting indoors and watching and feeling totally peaceful. Cia and I took a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood just as it was starting -- the first time I've walked in falling snow in quite some time. It was fun to feel and see the snowflakes all around, and I look forward to setting forth for a walk in coming storms.
