Yesterday, we attended a rewarding spiritual discussion at the Meeting House, on the topic of "joy". Everyone made helpful comments on the topic, but a woman named Anna, whom I had not met before, was especially insightful in her remarks. In fact, I felt like I was in the presence of one of the wisest people I've ever met. That sounds silly, I guess, since I only listened to her for a few minutes, but I still feel unbelievably blessed, and unusually so, by her wisdom. I leaned forward to listen more carefully. I remember thinking how lucky I was to be there with her. 

Today was an especially memorable one, beginning with an inspiring meditation at meeting for worship, and ending with Cia and I watching the end of a thrilling football game between the Cowboys and Packers. (The Packers won on a last second field goal.) In between, Jamie came down to pick up a table, and after we loaded it on the car, he and I sat in the living room and had, truly, one of the most meaningful and uplifting conversations I've ever had with him. I felt honored and very, very lucky.
