A good-size snowstorm today, flakes by the billions drifting and dashing around the house and trees most of the day. It was a little miracle for us, since all we had to do was sit quietly (mostly in the sunroom with its many windows onto the storm) and enjoy the show. It was especially nice to see the top of the holly bush below the bird feeders slowly being blanketed with piles of snow, and the birds hopping around, almost excitedly, on the new snow. Later, we had a fire in the fireplace, and sat together and chatted of many things, including what struggles we might have to face in the coming years, especially disabling illness. It is SO nice to sit with Delycia and share such personal concerns. It's one of the most inspiring things about our relationship.
