Today I had a quiet but busy day at home, working on my writing. I organized six new poems into folders to be eventually sent off to publishers of literary magazines, and I sent some other poems and a short story to several publishers. It was a good feeling, to sit in the warm sunroom and see my words getting organized and settling into groups to maybe go out and be read by others. Meanwhile, Cia was up in West Greenwich, RI, doing a long hike with Lee and Evelyn. She left early with a 12 pound pack and lots of excitement on her face, and returned around 3:30. Happily for me, we sat in front of the fire as evening came on and shared thoughts on many topics.
