Today we drove up into Rhode Island to the Blackstone River State Park bicycle path, and took a long and happy 13.5 mile ride along the river. It was a serene and quiet setting, with just a few other riders and walkers along the way. We stopped now and then for a breather and water and a few pictures, and at the end, after riding back up the steep, mile-long path to get back to the car, we sat in the grass in the shade and ate the lunches we brought from home. A lovely day for two best friends.
