Today we took another fast and difficult (for me) walk up and down some steep hills in Mystic. I finished the walk right behind Cia, but she seemed totally invigorated by the walk, whereas I was completely worn and weary. Oh well . . . there's always tomorrow to feel like a super senior athlete!
. . . a quiet pause for a walker

Later, I did some writing out in the shade of one of our big backyard trees, while Cia was busily pulling up weeds among her beloved flowers. She ended up filling four enormous bags with weeds, which I lovingly took to the landfill. She is one serious gardener!

I did some more reading today in Fielding's Tom Jones -- well, actually listening to the audio recording while reading the paperback. I love the voice of the audio recorder, a British fellow who captures so well all the different accents of the characters.
