A cloudy morning, so we decided to postpone our bike trip on the rail trail in Kingston, RI, and had a quiet morning at home. I did some further organizing of my poems, which was sn interesting -- and illuminating -- process for me. At one point, I grew discouraged because I felt like I wasn't being creative or artistic enough, but soon it came to me that I needed to put my morning meditation thoughts to good use, and remember that "I" am not doing this work, but that it's being done by the Spirit, or the Light, or Truth, or God -- a force far larger than puny little "me". This helped me to relax and simply "allow" the work to get done in its best and most efficient way.
Another excellent workout at the Y -- a little biking, some rowing, and some rapid weight lifting. Lovely exercise with my lovely wife.
