Today we had a quiet, inspiring time of worship at the Quaker Meeting, and I accomplished something significant by staying after the meeting and actually talking to a few people. I look forward to doing this more often as I work toward overcoming my lifelong insecurity in socializing. I'd always rather shut myself off with a good book than interact with people, but today, at the age of 75, I made some progress toward coming out of my hermitage.
A quiet afternoon -- a good lunch outside in the chilly October air, then some TV football, then some quiet talk with Cia, and finally some more TV football after dinner.
