We've just finished two beautiful autumn days. A few trees are sending their leaves off, but most leaves are still swaying in the winds and waiting for the cooler days, perhaps, to sail off into winter. Tomorrow I will have to mow the lawn before we leave for London and Paris on Friday, but it'll be fairly easy in the cool air and knowing that this might be the year's final mow.
I hope!
We're excited about our upcoming trip. Cia has done, as usual, a masterful job of organizing the entire trip, from start to finish -- air fare, hotels, tickets to Shakespeare and trains, and so much more. Without Cia, my beloved travel agent, I would be stuck in a tiny apartment
day after day, year after year.
Thank God for Match.com!
We've been watching a marvelous documentary about the Vietnam War -- marvelous but brutally sad and horrifying. Today, I watched for about 30 minutes, but then I had to leave the room and find some peace and solace. The show is marvelous because it shows so clearly what happens when human beings get so involved in protecting their reputations that they become capable of spreading catastrophic terror indiscriminately on innocent people. It happened then, and it could happen again -- and we have to be ready
to make sure it doesn't.
