We just finished a wonderful Easter weekend with Annie, Louie, and Matt, and now we are relaxing and relishing our good fortune in being part of a happy and loving family. In some ways, it was a tiring weekend, since our usual way of living is fairly relaxed and quiet, and these last two days have been busy and spirited (but in all the best ways). We played card games while we ate, walked twice down to the river to throw rocks into the water, several times played soccer and generally raced around the back yard, and generally did the most joyful things a family could on a weekend together. Louie and his grand bubbliness was one of the big hits of the weekend, but all of us were sprightly in our own ways, smiling and laughing and just feeling lucky to have such family friends.
