     Another breezy, blue-sky, glassy-clear day. A chilly morning, so we stayed inside for breakfast as the sunshine spread outside. Met with an old friend for a few hours in the morning, then read after lunch in the windy shade in the yard. Around 4:00, Delycia and I drove down to Niantic to see some new sights along the shoreline, then back home for dinner and the video of Act 1 of Smetena’s The Bartered Bride, an opera filled with good-humored and high-spirited songs.
