For the last two days,  Cia has joined me in the pool at the Y, and it has been a delight. The pool has been nearly empty except for us, and it's been fun to float past each other with smiles and perhaps some touches now and then. And today, I received in the mail my new shiny swimming goggles, so perhaps they will make me more handsome as I come quietly swimming past her.

We saw a lovely sunrise as we drove to the Y yesterday, and Cia snapped some pictures as we drove. Also, she took a walk on Barn Island (without me, because of my stupid injured foot!), and came back with a lovely photo.

As I write this, at 2:16, the weather is a wonderful change -- temps in the low 70's, and soft winds under the bluest, clearest skies. Has hot summer sailed away for good??
