Today we enjoyed a surprise day at Stonington beach with Amy and the kids. The weather was wondrous -- bright blue overhead with modest winds and a refreshing water temperature. Cia and the kids climbed over the rocks and spent many minutes swinging strings down into the water and catching small crabs. After an hour or so, they had a full bucket of them. I am not much of a crab fisherman, but I did have a nice swim with Noah and Amy out to the raft. We sat in the sunshine for awhile, jumped in a few times, and then splashed our way back to the beach. It was a very special afternoon for we two lucky grandparents.
