Today we had a fine lunch here at home with our guests, Jim and Ann Royle. Cia prepared a perfectly tasty meal (as always) of beef bourguignon with sauerkraut salad and fresh fruit salad, plus assorted tasty desserts, and I think all four of us had a relaxed and cordial few hours. After lunch, we adjourned to the fireplace, where we finished our tea and chatted around the fire for another 45 minutes or so. The day outside was bitterly cold, but inside we were totally warmed by friendship.
