Today, a misty, strangely chilly, and sometimes slightly rainy one, was a day for walking, so Cia and I drove over to the Pequotsepos Peace Sanctuary on River Road and walked briskly up and down the very long and steep driveway for about 40 minutes. It always wears me out, and today was the same -- a fast, exhausting way to raise my heartbeat and get me feeling full of good health.
We've been reading Annie Dillard's Pilgrim at Tinker Creek after lunch (actually listening to an Audible recording of it), and it's been fun, but this afternoon, for some reason, both of us were sleepy and kept dozing off, so we stopped after about fifteen minutes. It was, for sure, a sluggish sort of afternoon.
