Back home now in our cozy home in Mystic and so happy to be here. We had a long and tiring day on Sunday, flying home to Boston and then the long drive from Boston. Since then, we've suffered slightly from jet lag, waking at 4:00 am and feeling a bit drowsy off and on. But the weather here is in its autumn beauty, with bright blue skies and cooling air, so we've settled right in, happy to be home. 

I was happy to visit my favorite orchard today, and came home with a big bag of tasty apples, including russets, now my favorite apple. We also bought two big pumpkins today, and will be carving strange faces in them in the coming days.
